Three things I'm grateful for this year:
No. 3: The challenging economy. Really, you say? Yes. The lesson learned this year: it’s a good thing to try new things when the old ones don’t seem to work well anymore.
No. 2: My supportive team at home and at work. Sometimes the blessings closest to us are the easiest to overlook.
And finally . . . (drum roll)
No. 1: The faith to listen to my heart. This helps me to keep on keeping on. When you take refuge in the beauty of the moment—whether it is seeing that “aha!” look on the face of an unreachable student, getting a quick hug, or listening to someone read for the first time. We all make a difference.
Happy Thanksgiving!
